About me:

‘At the hospital, I do my best to dismantle the idea that punishing dietary restriction is the best way to heal.’

I work as an outpatient dietitian-nutritionist in a hospital-based clinic in Washington, D.C., as well as taking private clients. At the hospital, I do my best to dismantle the idea that punishing dietary restriction is the best way to heal.

In private sessions I work with people looking for advice in managing their prescribed therapeutic diets, as well as those looking for advice into nutrition basics and how to feel confident and comfortable with food. I do this from an anti-diet perspective. I will not be assessing your measurements - no heights, no weights, no measuring tapes. These things do not help you to build a good, sustainable relationship with food, eating and your precious body.

Philosophy and Philosophical Influences:

I am a member of the Association for Size Diversity and Health (ASDAH), an organization that promotes health equity for people in all bodies. The organization advocates for those bodies that have faced healthcare discrimination through the Health at Every Size® principles. I encourage my clients to come to me if they feel discriminated against in a healthcare environment. If you need someone to speak with your healthcare provider about changing the way they handle your care, I will personally make that call on your behalf.
